6:1 High shrink ratio Heat Shrinkable Tubing
Many applications require that the heat shrink protective tubing closely fits multi thickness wires, cables, adapters etc. The best way to accomplish this goal is to start off with a large enough diameter heat shrink tubing that will shrink enough to conform around the thinner and thicker diameter dimensions of your item. Standard heat shrink tubing would not be able to accommodate these frequent but special situations. These oversized tubes make installing over bulkier connectors easy! This high ratio tubing has a shrink ratio of 6:1 and higher to suit your needs. The tubing also has an adhesive lining that melts upon shrinking to form a weatherproof seal. It is available without adhesive if you prefer. In addition to the high ratio shrinking, this tubing is abrasion resistant as well resistant to being cut through. It is also resistant to certain engine chemicals, gasoline, and cleaning solvents. It is made from a cross linked polyolefin and has amazing strain relief and is rated non-burning. It is also flame retardant and a great insulator and is used many applications including military and aerospace. This tubing can be used in water/sea and well as deep burial applications given its resistance to extreme environments.
